PINTO is the name of a Thai lunch box.
A collection of 3 metal or bamboo containers that are stacked and carried with a frame that holds them together. PINTO boxes are used for lunch at work or school, or for other meals that are taken outside the home.
PINTO boxes have a very special place in Thai culture. When we go to our temples, we usually offer food to the monks that live there. These offerings are presented in PINTO boxes.
